Garang Asem


Garang Asem
Inspiration from Masakan Indonesia, Yasaboga, Gramedia, 2008. Portion: 1 person!

Ingredients:
  • 2 chicken thighs
  • 3 cabbage, discard the bone and chop roughly
  • 1 lemon grass, crushed
  • 1 tbs of cooking oil

Pound the following spices till form a rough paste:
  • 2 chillies
  • 3 shallots
  • 2 garlic
  • 1,5 tsp coriander grains in powder
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds powder
  • 1 tsp shrimp paste
  • 1 tsp of turmeric powder


Directions:
  1. Stir fry all the ingredients (except chicken and cabbage) until golden brown.
  2. Add chicken inside the pan, then 700 ml water, let the ingredients boiled, till chicken is soft.
  3. Drop the cauliflower, let it cook for another 10 minutes.
  4. Serve.
