
Garang Asem
Inspiration from Masakan Indonesia, Yasaboga, Gramedia, 2008. Portion: 1 person!
Ingredients:
- 2 chicken thighs
- 3 cabbage, discard the bone and chop roughly
- 1 lemon grass, crushed
- 1 tbs of cooking oil
Pound the following spices till form a rough paste:
- 2 chillies
- 3 shallots
- 2 garlic
- 1,5 tsp coriander grains in powder
- 1 tsp caraway seeds powder
- 1 tsp shrimp paste
- 1 tsp of turmeric powder
Directions:
- Stir fry all the ingredients (except chicken and cabbage) until golden brown.
- Add chicken inside the pan, then 700 ml water, let the ingredients boiled, till chicken is soft.
- Drop the cauliflower, let it cook for another 10 minutes.
- Serve.
